Thousands of ski bunnies have made the most of fresh snow and "bluebird" conditions at Mt Ruapehu in the past week.
More than 20,000 people skied or snow boarded at Whakapapa and Turoa last weekend and an increased number of people took to the slopes during the week, Mt Ruapehu customer relations manager Annah Dowsett said.
"Skiing conditions are phenomenal and it's great to see people making the most of the fantastic snow and coming to the mountain during the week - perhaps even pulling a snowie," she said.
"Mid-week generally sees fewer people than the weekend so it's the perfect time to come down, especially with these conditions."
Last week snow consistently fell on both Whakapapa and Turoa.
