Finally the Masterton Harriers' Trust House summer series lived up to its name with the fifth race being held in hot sunny conditions.
Starting at Greytown Scout hall the broadly circular course took in several local roads, the more senior runners covering 8.1km, the walkers 6.5km, juniors 4km and the midget grade 2km.
The results in the A, B and C grades were very similar to the previous event with Andrew Davenport winning the A section, Tim Matthews the B section and William Blake the C division.
Most handicap points in the A grade were earned by Mark Eagle although Lloyd Millar retains a clear lead on the overall points table.
Lesley Graham won the B grade handicap with Greg Baillie snaring the overall lead there while Annie Hawkes regained the number one position on the C grade ladder.
Returning from injury, Brenda Farley won the walkers event with Gordon Burden setting the pace for handicap spoils and the junior grade was again dominated by Chris Blake who was first home and also leads the handicap section.
