A list of 16 projects to transform Auckland's downtown area will be released tomorrow, including plans to create more generous space on the waterfront, greater space for pedestrians and see fewer cars driving into the city.
Among a list of 16 projects are an early start on the $2.4 billion city rail link at the Britomart end, creating a boulevard along Quay St and, long-term removing the Hobson St flyover.
The "Downtown Framework" will be presented at the Auckland Development committee and help councillor prioritise future investment and development decisions.
