Six people have been taken to hospital following a serious two-car crash on the Coastal Highway at Redwood Valley in the Tasman district.
A police spokesperson said emergency services remain at the scene of the crash on State Highway 60, which remains closed after the incident occurred around 4pm.
"It'sunderstood some of those taken to hospital have serious injuries," a police spokesperson said.
"Traffic is still being diverted at Maiseys Rd and Redwood Valley Rd."
