Six rescued

Six people were rescued after an 11m launch hit rocks off the South West of Great Barrier Island last night.

Three were flown to North Shore hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and three were brought to shore by rescue vessels. Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
