Dalefield coach Willie Schaefer makes no bones about the importance of his team's next two games in the Wellington premier division men's competition.
Schaefer knows wins over Victoria University on Saturday and Harbour City-Tawa on Sunday will consolidate Dalefield's third position on the points table and maybe even improve it.
And Schaefer is convinced that if they play near their potential the maximum six points are well within their reach.
"We can chalk up two wins, no doubt about that," Schaefer said.
"It won't be easy but, yes, it can certainly happen."
The last time Dalefield and Victoria University clashed the latter came out on top, but rather than see that as a negative going into Saturday's match at Clareville Schaefer sees it is a positive.
"It wasn't that they played particularly well, it was more that we let ourselves down," Schaefer said of the first-round encounter.
Young striker Joseph Robertson is injured and will miss the game. He will probably be out of Monday's game as well.
