KEY POINTS:
Six youths charged with the murder of Timaru man Wayne Bray have reappeared in court and again been remanded in custody.
The youths, aged between 17 and 20, entered no plea before Judge Colin Doherty in Timaru District Court yesterday and were remanded in custody to March 6. They are expected to apply for bail then.
While the name of one of the six is still suppressed, the others jointly charged with the murder are Simon Antony Anglem, 17, labourer; Ashley Jordan Moffat, 17, butcher; Morgan Christopher James Parker, 17, freezing worker; Nicholas John Peters, 17, freezing worker, and John Oliver Jamieson, 20, fisherman.
Their lawyers did not seek to have the suppression of their clients' names continued, the Timaru Herald reported.
Judge Doherty made a suppression order preventing the publication of any photographs of the accused.
The charges are the result of an alleged assault that took place in Bouverie Street on February 2. Mr Bray, 26, died in Timaru Hospital four days later.
