Fire crews remain on standby at the scene of a large fire at a two-storey building in Auckland tonight.
Six fire trucks were called to the blaze on Great North Rd near Henry St in Avondale at 8.15pm.
The fire is now out, but crews are still at the scene on standby and will remain there for the next few hours, a fire service spokesman said.
A fire investigator was also present, he said, but it was too early to know what had caused the fire.
The two-level commercial building has a cafe and retail shop on the ground floor, with a flat above.
