Six people have been arrested after a six-month drug squad operation in the Wellington region.
Four men and two women from Masterton, Wellington and Manawatu, aged between 19 and 41, were arrested after police searches early this morning, Detective Inspector Darrin Thomson said.
They face a total of 35 charges including participating in an organised criminal group, conspiring to supply methamphetamine and cannabis, money laundering and attempting to obstruct justice.
Property stolen in a Wellington burglary last year, worth about $35,000, was also recovered.
"Methamphetamine is a destructive, horrible drug which police will continue to focus on, to eliminate it from our communities," Mr Thomson said.
The six will appear in the Wellington District Court on April 18.
