Ugandan children raising funds for the orphans of Africa performed yesterday at the Life FM radio station studios.
The children are part of the Ugandan Watoto Children's Choir, and are on the New Zealand leg of a six-month Downunder tour.
Performances are based on stories of some of the millions of children in Africa orphaned as a result of HIV/Aids, war and poverty.
Each child is an ambassador for the Watoto Ministries organisation, which takes care of more than 2500 orphaned and vulnerable children in three villages in Uganda.
The choir is nearing the end of its New Zealand performances, and will today be in Matamata. Entry to all performances is free but donations are welcome.
