More male voices are needed for the Sing It To My Face choral theatre project that was tailor-made for Wairarapa and the upcoming Kokomai Creative Festival.
Singer Teresa McClymont is lending her voice to the project and sponsoring the festival, alongside husband and Masterton deputy mayor Graham McClymont through their company GT Environmental Services.
Sing It To My Face producer Gina Moss said the Barbarian Productions project debuted last year at St Paul's Cathedral in Wellington, during the 50th jubilee for its congregation.
The Wairarapa version of the performance will likewise feature four age-grade choirs - under 15, 15-30, 30-60, and over 60 - singing a libretto crafted from responses captured during a survey of inter-generational attitudes in the region.
Barbarian Productions artistic director Jo Randerson and musical director Julian Raphael, of Community Music Junction, wrote the libretto and choral composition for the non-religious capital city event and have collaborated again for the Wairarapa performance.
