The Herald on Sunday is New Zealand's newest national paper, but already it has walked away with the newspaper of the year title, not once but twice.
And now, at the Canon Media Awards this weekend, the paper and its staff have been recognised in a slew of areas: they were finalists for sports reporting, feature writing, headline writing, newspaper design and news photography.
The paper's lead editorial writer, Peter Calder, was named New Zealand's best.
And senior rugby writer Gregor Paul's work on NZ Rugby World magazine won him the title of best sports feature writer.
Our sister paper, the daily New Zealand Herald, was named New Zealand's best newspaper on Friday night, and nzherald.co.nz was named best website.
Simply the best time and again
