An American businessman who faces more time in jail unless he removes material from the internet has had his latest court appeal dismissed.
The Court of Appeal yesterday dismissed Vince Siemer's appeals against a number of rulings made by Justice Rodney Hansen in the High Court at Auckland in April 2007.
The Appeal Court said Siemer had not made out any grounds of his appeal and ordered costs for the respondents, Auckland accountants Ferrier Hodgson and a principal of the firm, Michael Stiassny. The material Siemer published on the internet was about them.
Siemer, who has already spent time in Mt Eden Prison, has been told he will go back to jail unless he removes the material from the internet by Friday.
