Poignant loss
A reader writes: "Last week my father of 55 years died. Suddenly, sadly. On his last day he wrote a note to my mother, his wife of 57 years, on a piece of hand towel paper a nurse had passed him. I took that note and placed it in my wallet to frame for my mother to keep. My wallet was lost on Tuesday, October 21, on platform 1 at Britomart train station. It has not been handed in. Take the money, take the cards, but please, please return the wallet. If anyone has noticed anything please contact the police or the Britomart station lost and found. It is a ladies' burgundy red leather, the size of two fat mobile phones."
Daddy app
Edward writes: "You know you're a dad when your iPhone buzzes in the middle of an important meeting and the app says 'my little pony needs feeding' and does a little jingle."
Sandal scandal
Tim was a bit peeved to find after his Friday afternoon walk along Long Bay in bare feet that someone has traded up to his newish designer jandals and left their old pair behind! A bit of a cheap trick, he reckons. A reward for information, he says, knowing full well he will never see them again.
