Kiwi kids are embarrassing too
1. "When my youngest boy was about 3 we were out at a public swimming pool and a short, elderly lady came walking past him," writes a reader. "Her bottom was right at his eye level and she was a classic pear shape so it was rather large and wobbly. Before I knew it he poked his finger at it (just to test the 'wobble factor' I guess) and his finger went right between her cheeks! She leapt in the air and let out a horrified shriek. I was left red-faced and apologising profusely. "
2. A reader writes: "Took my 2-year-old granddaughter to The Warehouse ... In the toy aisle she wanted to get out of the pushchair but I said no. Immediately she started yelling, 'help me, help me'. I was mortified."
Lights out, traffic moving
"Yesterday at 6.45am there was absolutely zero queue on the Esmond Rd on-ramp because the ramp lights weren't working," declares Tony Wood. "My trip into the city was 15 minutes quicker. This morning, the usual 700m-1km queue. Can we turn the lights off more often?"
