Train upgrade timing needed jog along
Raymond writes: "With 40,000 plus people going into town on Sunday, why was this weekend picked to do the train upgrade with full network closure? To make it worse, if you go to the official site (as linked from roundthebays.co.nz) there is no mention about the Round the Bays event. Come on Auckland Transport! Does no one jog at Auckland Transport?"
Art discovery
Frances writes: "A friend found six or seven hand-drawn pages of a graphic novel in a bush. The artist is extremely skilled and we think the pages would have taken a huge amount of work to complete - these must be the original drawings too. I know I'd hate to lose something like this." Cat shows Hugo who's boss
A man suffered a serious facial injury after he was attacked by a neighbour's cat because it hated his aftershave. Ian Olver, 44, from Plymouth in the UK had splashed on the Hugo Boss Bottled Night cologne for the first time before popping down the road to see neighbours. Their cat Blue leaped up and began clawing at Ian's neck and ears as soon as it caught a whiff of him. He managed to fight off the crazed animal but was left with a 7.6cm gash to the back of his head which required hospital treatment.
Yes, it is entertaining. Spotted in Kerikeri.

Here he is posing pulling a 'derp face' with students , which is defined by Urban Dictionary as "a facial expression reminiscent of one who is retarded" and reminded me of the fracas over Ricky Gervais's use of the word mong. What do you think? Hilarious or cringe?
