App update somewhat behind the times
"I downloaded the All Blacks App from Play Store," writes a reader. "The blurb reads: In this massive update we have completely rewritten the app to make it a million times more awesome. So go to Fixtures. Nothing on the All Blacks since the end of 2014. Historic Samoa test three days away. Nothing. What is so frustrating is that the most difficult info to get in sport is when a fixture is scheduled. Including start time by local clock. Like when do I turn the set on? You have to hunt around, wade knee deep through talking head stuff, and consult a ouija board to get even close."
Couple's kindness remembered
"The story of Taz and the purple fleece jacket reminds me of an act of kindness by a couple driving at night several years ago," writes Yvonne Bulte. "Sadly they had the misfortune to hit my cat, Astro - coal black and sitting in the middle of the road. They took him home, laid him on a towel in a box and, the following morning, door-knocked our Glendowie street to find his owner. I was deeply grateful they saved me from finding him on the road and to learn that his end was quick."
