Having just crossed the Tasman on Air New Zealand, Allan was interested in the label placed on the back of each seat advertising on-demand touch-screen entertainment. The label states: "Be entertained from the moment you hop on the plane till the moment you get off". "I always thought any on-board entertainment system was not operational until the plane had completed take-off and it was shut down just prior to landing. Does Air NZ's soon to be introduced entertainment go all the way, or are they stretching reality a bit?

The reader who wrote in about the article on the godwits seems a bit confused about global warming. Global warming does not mean that the weather simply gets warmer - it means the entire environment of the planet warms therefore creating weather extremes resulting in weather which can be colder in some places. There is no contradiction in the prime time news story, however "Climate Change" may be a more easily understood phrase than "Global Warming".
