This certainly is a handsome table and chairs, but can it live up to the Trade Me listing description? "Have you ever dreamed of reliving the adventures of King Arthur and his knights of the round table?" it reads. "Well now you can! This table has been certified completely round by a leading expert in circles and round things. Have your friends over; sit at the table; plan noble deeds and adventures as equals! But wait, there's more. If the mood strikes you or if you happen to be particularly popular you can, at a moment's notice, extend the table out to seat more. Lord it up by sitting at the head of the table and create a clear divide in importance between you and your dinner guests. The table also comes with no fewer than six chairs for you to sit at. Both the table and the chairs are made from genuine wood from a genuine tree. Be the envy of all your chair-less friends who have to resort to sitting on the floor. The table and chairs do have some lovingly made marks here and there and are not in what one might call 'pristine condition' but that just adds to their rustic charm. Rustic is very in right now; very hipster. Great for Instagram pics. Instagram is very in right now; very hipster. And if things are getting too rustic for your liking the table is 100% coverable with a table cloth if you happen to have one."
Most beautiful diners judged on quality of bulging foreheads
A restaurant in Zhengzhou, China, staged a promotion last month to pick up lunch tabs for the 50 "most handsome" people to dine there every day. Judged by a panel of cosmetic surgeons, , contestant-diners posed for photographs and were evaluated on "quality of" eyes, noses, mouths, and especially foreheads (better if "protruding"). Thieves want value for effort
Philip writes: "I had a neighbour in Wellington who put a fridge out on the berm with a 'free' sign and it stayed there for five days. He took it back in for a few days then put it back on the berm with a sign showing '$25' and a phone number. It was stolen within 20 minutes. It's all in the marketing."
