Shrek's sheep romance fizzles

Celebrity sheep Shrek has met his princess in Cromwell but it was more of a wrestle than a love match.

Hundreds of people flocked to the Cromwell Primary School fair to witness the meeting of Shrek and Princess Fiona, a Romney ewe found last month roaming the Southland high country cloaked in a 15kg fleece.

Shrek has raised more than $100,000 for Cure Kids since he was found wandering the hills carrying six years' wool growth last year.
