Solway Showgrounds may not be everyone's choice of venue to pledge their love, but for Natalie Price and Nick Chalmers it was the "perfect" place for them to declare their devotion.
The agricultural showground is usually more suited to rural fun and animals on display, but yesterday it was where the couple chose to make their wedding vows.
They got married in the grandstand, then held the wedding reception by the stock pavilion.
Growing up in Masterton, Natalie Price said she attended public events at the showgrounds such as public fireworks displays, agricultural shows, farmers markets and hot air balloon events, and when she and Mr Chalmers were looking for somewhere in Masterton to get married they checked out the showgrounds and decided it was just perfect.
"It's quite pretty. The grandstand is a beautiful building. I think the building is more than 100 years old. A nice era ... I remembered the showgrounds from my childhood," she said. "It just seemed perfect for us. We looked at quite a lot of different venues."
