Former Labour finance minister Michael Cullen is leaving politics to take up the deputy chairmanship of New Zealand Post.
He replaces Ken Douglas at the state owned enterprise, which is chaired by former Prime Minister Jim Bolger. Dr Cullen announced his retirement from politics at a media conference this afternoon.
