Star first five-eighth Dan Carter has been rushed back into the All Blacks for the remainder of the Tri-Nations.

Carter has played a club game and two rounds of the Air New Zealand Cup since returning to rugby following his Achilles injury.

Otago lock Tom Donnelly has also been called into the squad as cover for Bryn Evans, who is under an injury cloud.
