Shots fired in Auckland mall robbery

Shots have been fired in a robbery in Auckland's Lynnmall.

Police say it appears that no-one has been injured in the shooting in the New Lynn mall.

They believe two shots were fired by people trying to rob an Armourguard security van.

A white 4WD was seen leaving the mall has been found burned out nearby.

Officers are investigating whether it had been stolen from Christchurch.

Details are sketchy, but the incident is believed to centre on a bank at Lynnmall or in the surrounding area.
