A man was shot in the leg then dumped in a hospital carpark.
The YouthTown Rescue Helicopter was called this afternoon to take the 22-year-old man from Taupo Hospital to Rotorua Hospital.
The man was left in the hospital carpark with a gunshot wound to his right leg.
He was stabilised by hospital staff before being flown to Rotorua.
