The body of the New Zealander shot dead in Jamaica after he refused to give up his cell phone will arrive home on Thursday.
Tiki Hunia, 27, and his wife Nickie-Jean were approached by a gunman in the yard of the guest house in which they were holidaying on Upper Montrose Rd - an expensive area known as the "Golden Triangle" in the Kingston suburb of St Andrew.
The pair lived in Hong Kong and attended Waikato University together.
Jamaica police spokesman Karl Angell said a post-mortem examination of Mr Hunia had been carried out.
He said Mr Hunia died from a single 9mm gunshot wound.
Mr Angell said a cousin and uncle of Mr Hunia were accompanying the body back to New Zealand.
He said Jamaican police have interviewed 12 people but are still asking members of the public to come forward with information. So far there have been no arrests made in the case.
