Shot Feilding farmer's funeral today

The funeral for the Feilding farmer shot dead in his driveway just over a week ago will be held today.

Police are still trying to find the killer of 31-year-old Scott Guy and have no strong leads.

Yesterday, road blocks were set up in the vicinity of Mr Guy's home on Aorangi Rd in an attempt to identify any witnesses. More than 200 motorists were spoken to between 4.30am and 8am. A roadside search was also carried out for the shotgun used in the murder.

Hundreds of mourners are expected at Mr Guy's funeral at St John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Feilding today. It will be followed by a private burial.

Mr Guy leaves behind a two-year-old son. His wife is pregnant with the couple's second child.
