Shortage of school trustees

More candidates are needed for school trustee elections, says the group organising the elections.

Elections project manager Janet Kelly said yesterday a survey of the country's 13,000 trustees showed that half intended to stand for election again next April.

But with a possible 6500 places to fill, more candidates were needed, she said.
