The victim of a shooting in the Auckland suburb of Glen Eden has himself been arrested on firearms charges.
The 30-year-old man required surgery and lost his right eye following the incident on Tuesday morning.
Police today arrested him and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Three others were arrested just after the shooting.
Officers are still trying to determine exactly what happened at the property, but do not believe it was gang related.
