A man arrested after a fatal shooting in Flat Bush in south Auckland earlier this month pulled a rude sign to a television camera when he appeared in court today.
Gareth Heron, 25, was arrested after the 23-year-old victim was allegedly shot outside a property on Eastland Rd on January 2. The victim died in Middlemore Hospital on January 18.
Heron, who is charged with firearms offences, appeared in Manukau District Court today.
Judge Andree Wiltens granted a TVNZ application to film the proceeding and Heron pulled the fingers at the camera.
He was remanded in custody to reappear next month.
