A ship worker escaped serious injury at the Port of Tauranga after he fell 7m into the hold of a ship and became trapped. Firefighters had to winch the man out of the hold of the Chinese ship Glorious Sunshine on Tuesday.
Ambulance workers said the man, a 27-year-old from the Philippines, was taken to hospital with moderate leg and arm injuries.
