The Russian ship that became stuck in Antarctic ice for two weeks has sailed into a New Zealand harbour.
The Akademik Shokalskiy, which became stranded in heavy ice in the Antarctic on Christmas Eve, arrived at South Island's Bluff harbour this morning.
The icebreaker managed to break free of the ice on January 7, exactly two weeks after it became stuck with 52 passengers on board.
