A health warning issued last month against taking and eating potentially toxic shellfish in the Bay of Islands has been lifted.
Northland Health says shellfish samples from the area between Cape Wiwiki in the north to Cape Brett in the south has now shown levels of toxin below that which can cause paralytic shellfish poisoning.
