Police have received reports of sheep being shot dead in Wairarapa paddocks.
Three separate incidents have occurred in the Perrys Rd and Francis Line area.
Senior Sergeant Warwick Burr said the shootings have taken place at night, over the last few weeks, and appear to be done with a rifle.
"If residents hear or see anything suspicious at night time contact police," Mr Burr said. He said as far as police know no stock have been taken.
