KEY POINTS:
Sharp is recalling two models of 42-inch (107cm) televisions which could overheat and produce electric shocks. The televisions, model numbers LC42BX5X and LC42PX5X, were sold between February 1 and now.
Sharp says a small piece of foam shielding may become free from its mounting and make contact with the power board, causing overheating and the risk of electrical shocks.
Customers can call 0800 543 899 for their televisions to be inspected and repaired.
