A reminder for parents not to share the bed with young babies.
Palmerston North Coroner Tim Scott believes that may have contributed to the death of an 11-week-old baby in Foxton in 2010.
He's ruled that the girl, dubbed 'Baby T' for privacy reasons, died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
The girl's mother had fallen asleep after feeding her, and didn't realise what had happened until the girl's father woke her.
Coroner Scott says they are good parents, and shouldn't be blamed or take responsibility for her death - but says it serves as a reminder to other parents to let babies sleep in their own cots.
