It was the day Christchurch changed. Now you can share your stories of the quake.

Nzherald's sister publication in Christchurch, Star Canterbury, has started a Facebook group dedicated to capturing people's experiences of the quake and the rebuild.

We encourage you to share your experiences, to build an archive for others to understand what happened in years to come. Readers can share whatever they like.

You might want to share a story of the day the earthquake struck.

Or, maybe you want to talk about the rebuilding efforts or the thousands of volunteers who worked tirelessly to help free the city from the earthquake's grip.

Now that the attention turns to rebuilding this great city, there are stories you might want to tell of shops, houses and infrastructure being rebuilt.

It's easy to take part. Post your story, photos or video and help start creating the archive. It's time to turn the news over to you.
