Shallow quake strikes Queenstown

A shallow earthquake rattled Queenstown last night.

The magnitude 4 quake struck at 8.02pm last night, GeoNet reported.

It struck at a depth of 5km and was centred 20km north of Milford Sound.

It was felt in Queenstown.
