Due to the crash of a heavy truck and trailer unit on SH 4 near Tapuiwahine in Ruapehu District, the road has been closed for at least the next two hours, New Zealand Police have reported.
There are diversions in place on SH 4 south of the scene at Ongarue and north of the scene at the intersection with SH 3 at 8 Mile Junction.
No other information was immediately available.
