KEY POINTS:
State Highway Three has re-opened at Mt Messenger, Taranaki, after a large slip came down this morning.
Sergeant Mark Oliver said contractors were waiting for a digger but traffic could get through.
He said drivers needed to be cautious.
Mr Oliver said the slip came down on the Mokau side of the Mt Messenger Tunnel.
