Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead on State Highway 23 in Raglan.
Police responded after a pedestrian was struck by a car at about 6.55pm yesterday between Te Mata Rd and Nau Mai Rd.
They believed he was struck by a moving vehicle while walking his dog.
Police are looking for vehicles of interest, a silver 2009 Ford Falcon saloon and a silver 2011 Mazda Axela.
“Emergency services were called to the scene near the intersection of SH23 and Nga Mai Rd east of Raglan shortly before 7pm, and the man was discovered deceased,” a police spokesperson said.
