State Highway 2 in the Western Bay of Plenty will be closed for about an hour after a truck ran off the road this morning.
Northern police communications Shift Inspector Andy Brill said the crash, at Tawhai, occurred around 6am.
"It's just blocking the road and they're going to have to get a tow truck to haul it out and it's going to take a little while to shift it.''
The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash. No other vehicles were believed to have been involved.
