State Highway 1 has been reopened north of Wellington after a serious crash between a car and motorcycle - but motorists can still expect further delays.
A Stop-Go system is in place on SH1, near Paekakariki, after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.
Police were notified about the Paekakariki crash at about 2.50pm.
The motorcyclist has serious injuries, while the driver of the car was uninjured.
Earlier, both lanes were blocked, and motorists were told to expect serious delays.
