KEY POINTS:
A man, possibly armed with a knife, broke into a business and sexually assaulted a teenage girl and "viciously" assaulted a teenage boy in Henderson.
Detective sergeant Sean Hyland-Mills said the man broke in to the business on Great North Rd at about 5am on Sunday morning.
He said there was a brief struggle and the offender knocked the young man unconscious. He then sexually assaulted the teenage girl for about 30 minutes.
"This offender was seen in the area prior to the attack. He's likely to have been in the CBD for some considerable time before assaulting the two teenagers," Mr Hyland-Mills said.
Mr Hyland-Mills said the man is described as Maori or Pacific Islander, aged between 30 and 40 years-old and about 185cm tall.
He said the man was of a solid or fat build with a double chin and curly hair. He was wearing a white zip up hoodie and a blue cap. He was also wearing a leather vest underneath his hoodie.
