KEY POINTS:
A man admitted a series of child Auckland sex offences when he appeared in Christchurch District Court today.
Name suppression was also lifted today, when Lawrence John Davidson pleaded guilty to six charges.
The 57-year-old man, who has a Canterbury address, admitted three charges of meeting two girls aged 14, and one aged 12, after having contacted them for sex grooming.
The charges do not state how he contacted them.
He also pleaded guilty to three charges of having sexual intercourse with girls aged 14.
Crown prosecutor Chris Lange said the agreed summary of facts had not yet been completed for handing to the judge, and it was not read in court.
The offences were committed in 2006 at Manukau, Orewa, North Shore, and Waitakere.
Defence counsel Mark Callaghan said he did not seek to have the interim suppression order continued for Davidson.
Nor did he seek bail, and Judge David Saunders remanded Davidson in custody to May 8 for a crown sentencing session.
He ordered a pre-sentence report and victim impact reports.
