A sex offender dubbed the 'Beast of Blenheim' has been ordered to remain in jail after intimidating a psychologist and demonstrating "inappropriate" sexual behaviour.
Stewart Wilson was sentenced to 21 years in jail in 1996 for sex offending involving women and girls and animals over a period of 25 years.
His charges included rape, bestiality, stupefying, ill-treatment of children and indecent assault.
The Parole Board issued an order allowing it to extend his sentence beyond his final release date in 2012 before he became eligible for parole in December 2008, due to his high risk of re-offending.
A board decision issued today said there no reason to reverse that order and turned down his latest bid for parole.
Its decision relied on psychological reports which found Wilson still posed a high risk of re-offending.
He had been "evasive, argumentative, litigious, solicitous, ingratiating, threatening and intimidating" in a recent interview with a psychologist, the decision said.
"Mr Wilson has made threats during the interview with her, demonstrated defiance towards those who offered him reintegration assistance as well as the demonstrated evidence of sexual behaviour which is, in Ms (withheld)'s view, inappropriate and possibly intentionally abusive."
The decision said Wilson sees himself as special and expects his needs and wants to be dealt with immediately, regardless of consideration for others.
His case will again be reviewed in six months.
