Taupo police have found a number of items which they say may help them identify the killer of Scottish tourist Karen Aim. Officers spent much of yesterday at Taupo Nui-A-Tia College, near where the 26-year-old was brutally attacked as she walked home last Thursday morning.
Senior Sergeant Tony Jeurissen says police have conducted a scene examination, and forensic evidence was collected. He says some matter was discovered and it will be examined in the next few days.
Tony Jeurissen says police have been talking to a large number of people about the murder. He says while everyone has something to say, only a few people will have the information that is needed to solve the crime.
