Another 14 buildings have been approved by the Civil Defence for demolition, partial demolition, or needing work to make them safe, bringing the total to 362 buildings.
The buildings added to the latest list include seven requiring demolition - two of which are heritage buildings, three requiring partial demolition, and four needing work to be made safe - three of which are heritage buildings.
The additions bring the total requiring demolition to 241 - 86 are heritage, 82 requiring partial demolition - 22 of which are heritage, and 39 needing to be made safe - 22 of which are heritage.
The Civil Defence said the situation with building status is dynamic, and will continue to be so as more information is obtained and buildings are impacted by subsequent events.
This is reflected in the change of status of some buildings from one release to the next.
The state of national emergency, which was declared following the February 22 earthquake, is expected to be lifted in the coming days as the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority takes over from the Civil Defence.
