Seven people are in hospital after a spate of crashes at an Auckland boy racer blackspot over night.
The victims were injured in collisions on Harris Road in East Tamaki.
It appears three or four cars were involved.
One lost control and hit several parked cars before striking a pedestrian on the footpath.
Of the people in hospital, one has serious injuries, two others have moderate injuries and another has minor cuts and bruises.
Some of those hurt are believed to have been part of a crowd gathered to watch the illegal racing.
In a separate incident, Auckland's southern motorway is open again this morning, after a woman fell onto the southbound carriageway overnight.
It is not yet clear how the woman came to be on the road, between Manukau and Manurewa, but police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
