A seven-car crash is causing major delays on Auckland's Northwestern motorway this morning.

A police spokesman said the bumper-to-bumper crash happened at 6.41am, 500m past the Great North Rd exit heading towards the city.

Traffic is heavy on the Nth Wstn Mwy this morning, a crash (clear of lanes) is causing traffic to slow citybound prior to Great Nth Rd. ^LC

No lanes are blocked, but NZTA is reporting heavily congested traffic along the Northwestern.

No-one was injured in the accident.
